The British Society for Eighteenth-Century Studies conference for
postgraduate students and early career academics and researchers is being
held on the 27th and 28th June 2008. The conference will take place at
the University of Winchester. Details of the conference can be found on
the BSECS website at www.bsecs.org.uk

Whilst proposals on all and any eighteenth-century topics are welcome,
the conference theme this year is 'Identities'. We therefore particularly
welcome proposals for papers that address any aspect of identity, or
identities, throughout the long eighteenth century and in any part of the
world.

We invite proposals for individual papers, for full panels of three
papers, and for roundtable sessions. We would also encourage proposals
for workshops and presentations in other innovative formats.

The final date for the submission of proposals is Monday 21st January
2008. You are asked to submit proposals using the submission facility
available on the website. Questions relating to any proposals can be
emailed to the organiser, Debbie Welham at Debbie.Welham_at_winchester.ac.uk
