ine of=20
Jewish entertainers, writers, directors, and producers in the vaudeville=20
circuit, on Broadway, and then on radio, film, and early television. Jewish=

influence on entertainment in the early 20th century was so strong that Geor=
ge M.=20
Cohan, an Irish multi-talented actor/writer/director/producer, insisted that=
 his=20
last name be pronounced as =E2=80=9CCohen=E2=80=9D rather than the correct=20=
=E2=80=9Cco-HAN=E2=80=9D so that=20
he would be accepted as a =E2=80=9Cquadruple threat=E2=80=9D on Broadway.
=20
Jewish entertainment in the first half of the 20th century set the standard=20
for entertainment as we know it today. Presentations should concentrate on=20=
the=20
Jewish influences on the early formation of entertainment and the people=20
responsible for it.
