Nineteenth-Century American Literature
Snowbird, UT (October 8-10, 2009)
Proposals are invited for the standing panel on 19th-Century American
Literature at the 2009 Rocky Mountain Modern Language Association (RMMLA)
Convention, in Snowbird, Utah. In keeping with the custom of this panel,
the topic is open. Of particular interest are innovative papers that
situate American literary production across or against conventional
boundaries of nation, race, language, gender, region, or sexuality.
Please send a 300 word abstract, along with c.v., contact information,
and a statement of audio/visual needs, as an e-mail attachment (.doc
or .pdf preferred) to the panel chair: Robert Gunn <rlgunn_at_utep.edu>.
Proposals are due on March 1, 2009; notifications will be made by March
Please note that, while non-RMMLA papers may submit proposals, all
presenters must be members of RMMLA by April 1, 2009.
