CFP: Cultural Conflict and Women (11/1/05; PCA/ACA, 4/12/06-4/16/06)
CALL FOR PAPERS
CULTURAL CONFLICT AND WOMEN
April 12 - 16, 2006 Atlanta, Georgia. The national PCA/ACA conference will
be held at the beautiful Atlanta Marriott Marquis Hotel.
Deadline for Paper/Panel Proposals: November 1, 2005. Be There!
Literary, psychological, historical, sociological, or interdisciplinary
representations of cultural confict and women are encouraged. For example,
conflicts may occur between women and the dominant culture, beteen women of
diverse non-dominant cultures, between women characters, or between male and
female characters. Cross-cultural, cross-generational, and cross-generic
confict may also be included. Genres that could be treated include fiction,
poetry, diaries, newspaper accounts, television productions, biography,
autobiography, or music videos, among others.
