Submissions are invited for two sessions hosted by the Nathaniel
Hawthorne Society at The Modern Language Association Conference in
Chicago, 27-30 December 2007.

1. Critical Overviews: Where Are We Now?

2. Is There a Case for the Late Hawthorne?

All approaches to these topics are welcome. Deadline for proposals is 1
March, 2007. Please send 1-2 page abstracts for 20-minute papers to
