CFP: [Film] American Film Histories (Movement E-journal, continuous)
Movement (www.movementjournal.com), the media e-journal, is concerned with exploring the
future of media; however, it also is invested in a historical trajectory of media. In keeping with its
mindfulness of media history, Movement is soliciting papers or short essays explaining the
historical significance of important American films.
To make the process of selection easier, the editors of Movement are extending a call for writers to
submit film histories of American films listed on the Library of Congress's National Film
Preservation Foundation's National Film Registry. The list of films can be found at this website:
Movement editors will work with film historians, young and old, to develop film histories that lend
themselves to a web presentation. Please send submissions (abstracts or full histories) to
movement.journal_at_gmail.com. Please note, submissions for this call for proposals are accepted on
a rolling basis.
