Call For Papers: Culture, Environment and Eco-Politics
A One-Day Conference, University College Northampton, UK, 17th June,
2006
Proposals for 20-minute presentations or panels of three to four
presenters are invited for a conference on Culture, Environment and
Eco-Politics to take place at University College Northampton, UK, June
17th, 2006.
We are particularly interested in those areas where cultural and social
analysis encounters questions of ecological consciousness and
environmentally-informed political agency. We welcome proposals from a
range of disciplines and interests with a broadly-defined 'cultural'
dimension. Issues for consideration might include, but are not limited=
to:

Participants sought for a roundtable discussion on Contemporary Lesbian Fiction for the Society for the Study of American Women Writers conference to be held in Philadelphia, Nov. 8-11, 2006. The purpose of the discussion is to offer a general overview of major issues, themes, and trends in post-lesbian-feminist fiction (from about the mid-1980s to the present.) Topics including comparisons of multiple authors, discussion of mainstream publishing and/or small lesbian presses, or works by lesbians of color are especially welcome. Please send ideas by January 15, 2006 to Kris Comment at k.comment_at_att.net.

CFP: Exploring the Multiverse: A Study of the Works of Michael Moorcock
(Collection). Editor: Thomas Fortenberry.
Submissions are invited for a new collection of essays studying the
writings of British author Michael Moorcock. Moorcock has had a long
and amazingly successful career as both editor and author. Winner of
numerous awards (including the British Fantasy Award, World Fantasy
Award, and being shortlisted for the Whitbread [Mother London]), he is
most famous for having created a vast and fantastic multiverse of
interconnected realities centered around the concept of a recurrent
Eternal Champion.
