postamble is a peer-reviewed postgraduate journal published bi-annually
online. Based in the Centre for African Studies, this innovative new
publication is committed to original postgraduate student work focused
on the multi-disciplinary study of Africa.

Submissions cover a wide range of humanities, arts and social science
topics focusing on the study of Africa. This online publication will
allow for the exploration of alternative forms of academic research
presentation that may include creative writing, visual essays, or, the
use of digital film and sound.

debate on the cultural, social, psychological and historical dynamics of
creativity in all its forms. It seeks articles that explore the processes of

fiction and non-fiction, interviews and reviews, Meridian is an

  "SPACES OF CONFLICT"
  In the aim of expanding the dialogue around cinema, we are interested in exploring critical approaches to film that push beyond narrative and character-centric methods, specifically those addressing issues of space within and without the film frame.
   
  The intent of this conference is to focus on how space is investigated, portrayed or enacted in cinema with an attention to the relationship between space and conflict. Some possible areas of discussion could include (but are not limited to):
  ê Geographic conflict zones (cultural, political, environmental)

Submissions are invited for a collection of critical essays tentatively
titled "Teaching the Novel in the (English) Major and Across the
Curriculum." Submissions by emergent as well as established scholars are
welcome. (An editor at one of the leading educational presses has shown
strong interest in the project.) <>As it stands, the collection will be
broken into five chapters, or sections: 1) English, 2) Humanities, 3)
Natural Sciences and Mathematics, 4) Social and Behavioral Sciences and,
5) Professional Studies.
