American Women Poets and Nineteenth-century Religion

Papers are sought for a proposed special session on nineteenth-
century American women poets and religion. We especially welcome
papers on the work of unrepresented women poets for whom religion,
Christian or otherwise, was a positive influence.

  We invite abstracts for papers, roundtable discussions, and presentation/lectures on any topic related to linguistics and its representation in the works of novelist and futurist Robert A. Heinlein.
   
  Heinlein demonstrates a particular interest in languages throughout his numerous short stories and novels, even coining new words and dialects, such as "grok" from _Stranger in a Strange Land_ and the distinctive Moonie dialect spoken in _The Moon is a Harsh Mistress_.
   
  Papers on any topics related to linguistics are welcome. Suggested topics include (but are not limited to):

in Chicago, IL.

Seeking examinations of poems about age, aging, and old age, in the
writing of late-twentieth- and early-twenty-first-century poets of
all ages worldwide. How is old age, aging, ageism, and age difference
depicted poetically? (How) does the poet's age vary the depictions of
aged speakers' or other aged characters' identities? What ties the
poets' depictions of aging and old age to their individual cultures?
How do ideas of and responses to aging reflect or resist their
cultural contexts? Explorations of all aspects of aging and old age
in poetry are welcome.

LILITH
a feminist history journal

Call for Papers: Edition 16, 2007

Lilith is a fully refereed academic journal based in the History
Department at the University of Melbourne. Since the early 1980s,
Lilith has provided a valuable forum for new and established scholars
to present research in feminist history. The journal is published
annually in November and includes a substantial book review section.
The editorial board is currently seeking articles for Edition 16.
