The Arab World in the US

  (**Since the posting was just sent out October 31st, we would like to extend
the submission deadline to November 30th, 2006)

The Fall 2006 issue of AMERICAN@ welcomes submissions on the possible impact,
reactions, and representations of and by the Arab community in the USA , its
influence on US national identity and sociocultural landscape, and possible
parallelisms with the creation of other historical internal suspects
(religious, political, territorial, ethnic, etc).

Norteamérica is an academic journal published by the Centro de Investigaciones
sobre América del Norte (Center for Research on North America), Universidad
Nacional Autónoma de México. We welcome articles, essays, book reviews in
Spanish or English from diverse disciplinary perspectives and on a wide range
of subjects (economic, social, cultural, political) pertinent to North
America, understood as an increasingly integrated geopolitical and economic
region which includes Canada, Mexico and the U.S.
