"Interactions" is an international journal on British and American
Literature
and Culture, published twice a year in Fall and Spring by Ege University
Depts. of British and American Studies (Izmir/Turkey).

It is internationally refereed and indexed in MLA International
Bibliography, featuring essays, film
and book reviews (ISSN 1300-574-X).

General submission deadlines are July 1 for the Fall Issue and December 1
for the Spring Issue.

Articles (4000-7000 words) and reviews (2000-4000 words) should follow MLA
paranthetical citation format.

Cauda Pavonis: Studies in Hermeticism seeks scholarly articles for
upcoming print and online issues. Now in its twenty-third year of
publication, the journal publishes articles on all aspects of
hermeticism as well as book reviews and field-relevant
announcements. Cauda Pavonis also issues an Annual Bibliography of
Hermetic Studies each Spring and annually sponsors a panel at the
Renaissance Society of America Conference.

Call for Papers: 'Fin de Siecle' seminar, 1870-1920

The University of Oxford 'Fin de Siecle' seminar invites proposals for 45- to
50-minute papers on any aspect of literature, society and the arts in Britain
during the period between 1870 and 1920. Proposals for papers with an
international dimension will be considered.

Now in its sixth year, the seminar is a lively forum in which graduates
and established academics discuss fresh perspectives on turn-of-the-century
culture. It attracts attention from a broad community of researchers both
within and outside Oxford, who value its rigorous scholarly discussion.
Recent papers have examined such diverse subjects as:

Second Call for Papers for book, On Joanna Russ, edited by Farah
Mendlesohn, to be published by Wesleyan University Press in 2006.

This is a re-opening of a call for papers on the work of Joanna Russ.
The current state of the project is that all the spaces for essays on
Russ's critical work have been filled.

I am looking for up to six papers on Joanna Russ's fiction, each of
between six and seven thousand words long.

Motherhood" at the national College English Association conference, for
which I am interested in receiving individual or panel presentation
proposals that address ways in which art, film, literature, and other
media have used the figure of the mother to define, represent,
reinscribe, cross, blur, deconstruct, or transgress geographical,
historical, cultural, and/or ideological regions.
