CALL FOR CONTRIBUTORS - FESTSCHRIFT FOR EVERETT ZIMMERMAN

AMS Press is seeking contributions for a special Festschrift edition of its
annual publication, Eighteenth-Century Novel. Publication is tentatively
scheduled for 2005. Final drafts of all manuscripts should be submitted by
15 July 2004.

At present the plan is to limit contributors to former students of
Professor Zimmerman, though other connections may be considered depending
on the response we get.

Ebr (the electronic book review: http://www.altx.com/ebr) is soliciting =
essays to update its postfeminist thread. We are interested in fairly =
short (1000 =96 1500 word) essays on topics on innovative fiction or =
poetry, experimental media (women=92s electronic writing, for instance), =
on feminism (its current state), on postfeminism (did it exist? Does =
it?), etc.

Announcing a new series from Ashgate Publishing Company

Studies in Performance in the Long Eighteenth Century: Theatre, Music, Dance

Series Editors: Jane Milling, University of Exeter and Kathryn Lowerre,
Michigan State University

Focusing on performance culture during the long eighteenth century, this
series offers studies in all types of cultural performance including
theatre, opera, dance, musical performance, and popular entertainments. It
is a forum for interdisciplinary work, drawing the debates of historians and
musicologists as well as literary, dance, theatre and opera scholars into a
creative symbiosis.

By June 2004, I plan to finish editing a journal issue on African American
Poetry and Internationalism, which will have a special focus on the period of
the sixties and seventies, and the Heritage Series of Black Poetry published by
Paul Breman. I would welcome the opportunity to read a small number of
additional articles relating to British-American intersections of poetry publication
during this period, or poets whose work appeared in the Heritage Series,
especially Russell Atkins, Lloyd Addison, Ellease Southerland (Ebele Oseye), James
W. Thompson, Clarence Major, Mukhtarr Mustapha, Ray Durem, Sebastian Clarke
(Amon Saba Saakana), Eseoghene (Lindsay Barrett), Ronald L. Fair, and Samuel W.
