Film Adaptation

I am seeking papers for a possible publication of
collected essays addressing various concerns of film
adaptation. Possible topics include but are in no way
limited to the following. What problems arise when
adapting a work of literature to a screenplay? How do
various adaptations of the same work use the primary
text differently in their adaptations? What role does
fidelity play in screenplay adaptation? What problems
in auteur/authorship arise in screenplay adaptation?
What role does intended audience play in screenplay
adaptation? Studies of single text adaptations are
also welcome.

New England Theatre Journal (a publication of the New England Theatre
Conference) invites Book Reviews for its 2006 edition. A refereed
publication, New England Theatre Journal is concerned with advancing the
study and practice of theatre and drama by printing articles of the
highest quality on a broad range of subjects, including traditional
scholarship, performance theory, pedagogy, and articles on theatre
performance, design and technology.
NETJ prints two types of Book Reviews: Full reviews (1000 words) and
Briefly Noted (175-200 words each). Following are listed books

The Ambrose Bierce Project (http://www.ambrosebierce.org) is a hypermedia project and peer-reviewed e-journal hosted by Penn State University. To prepare for the second issue of the journal (fall 2006), we are now seeking essays and literary briefs about the writings of Ambrose Bierce and his contemporaries. Submissions will be reviewed by members of the ABP advisory board, a collection of leading Bierce scholars and Americanists.
 
Literary briefs will offer a critical perspective on a *single* Bierce story or work of nonfiction prose. Briefs should not exceed 2,000 words, but should include scholarly notes. Deadline: 5/1/06.

you have contributed to recent research in American Studies. Therefore,
we would like to invite you to our international and interdisciplinary
conference on "HipHop meets Academia", organized by Chemnitz University
of Technology, Germany and splash!, Europe's largest hiphop festival.

We are looking for practicioners and scholars who would like to present
their latest findings in research and lived youth culture. Since you
have worked in this field, we would kindly ask you for contributing to
