"Currents" is the theme for the 2007 meeting of the South Central Modern Language Association, to be held in Memphis, Tennessee, November 1-3, 2007. In keeping with this theme, the Flannery O'Connor Society seeks proposals for papers that focus on emerging strains of critical thought in O'Connor studies, including but not limited to those that explore O'Connor's life and work in light of cultural studies, post-colonial studies, disabilities studies, and history-of-the-book studies.
