Australian Studies project: A collection of international perspectives on fear and protection related topics within the scope of Australian Studies for an essay collection with the working title Protect Australia Fair: International Perspectives on Australian Culture.

"Currents" is the theme for the 2007 meeting of the South Central Modern Language Association, to be held in Memphis, Tennessee, November 1-3, 2007. In keeping with this theme, the Flannery O'Connor Society seeks proposals for papers that focus on emerging strains of critical thought in O'Connor studies, including but not limited to those that explore O'Connor's life and work in light of cultural studies, post-colonial studies, disabilities studies, and history-of-the-book studies. Final presentations should last no longer than 20 minutes.

This year's International Conference on Romanticism invites
participants to consider the objects of Romantic study. "Romantic
objects" may include the goals of our own academic inquiry, the pursuits
(literary, philosophical, political, theological, ecological, aesthetic,
and so on) of Romantic period authors, and the material things that
provoke these goals and pursuits.

The Journal of Employability and The Humanities is for everyone in the
Humanities. As a bi-annual, refereed journal produced in collaboration
with the Centre for Employability Through the Humanities (ceth), at the
University of Central Lancashire, its intention is to create space for a
dialogue between Humanities and employability. We want to hear your
experiences of teaching, developing and researching employability and
stress that prior knowledge of employability literature and models is

Call For Contributors ? The Encyclopedia of Hip Hop Literature

Contributors are sought for a reference work that will be published by
Greenwood Press in 2008.

The work, tentatively titled, The Encyclopedia of Hip Hop Literature,
will consist of approximately 200 entries. Each entry will vary in
length from 500-3000 words. The entire volume will be approximately
180,000 words or 400 pages and will be illustrated.
