The Journal of the Short Story in English: Special Issue on Henry Roth.

Although Jewish American writer Henry Roth is best known as a novelist, he
also left behind a rich store of short stories, both published and
unpublished, at his death in 1995. The majority of published pieces,
collected together in the 1987 volume, Shifting Landscape, were written
during the 60-year period between his first novel, Call It Sleep and his
second Mercy of a Rude Stream.

Hello Folks,

All but six names have been taken in response to my previous call
for contributors to a new Dictionary of Literary Biography volume on
early American nature writers. I have revised this list and deleted a
few of the most obscure and have added new names--minor but not
impossibly obscure poets. If you would like to write an entry for any
of these writers still left, please let me know. The entry, by the way,
will require 2000-3000 words and will be due in six months. Here
are the few left for entries:

J.D. Canning
L.J.W. Pierson
M.H. Jenks
M.J. Cawein
