On the topic of
=22Globalization with a Focus on South Asia=22
(South Asia is here defined as India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh,
and Nepal.)
For the Special Issue, topics of interdisciplinary interest are also
welcome. Thus:

religion,
etc.
Globalization and its impacts are variously defined. Malcolm Waters

on social and cultural arrangements recede and in which people become

contributions from practitioners of stylistics, linguistics, discourse
analysis, poetics, psychology, and rhetoric on the role of metonymy in

*Precursors and Aftermaths: Literature in English 1914-1945*
Special Issue on "The Work of Art"
The editors of the journal *Precursors and Aftermaths: Literature in =
English 1914-1945* would like to announce a call for papers for a =
special issue: Volume 3, Number 1 on "The Work of Art in the Space =
Between." Deadline for submissions to the special issue is October 1, =
2003.
We are announcing a new interdisciplinary e-journal, E-xplorations, to =
provide a forum for articles that explore the connections between =
literature, languages and other disciplines. We are calling for =
comparative studies of national literatures, diverse media, theoretical =
approaches, periods and genres. The inaugural issue is slated to appear =
in Fall 2003 and will be devoted to the Intersection of Art and =
Literature. Papers may include but are not limited to studies on the =
intersections of film, music, painting, illustrations, texts and images =
from popular culture.
The due date for submissions is May 1, 2003.
