Athena 2027 "Stories, Spaces, and Movement: Borders, Migration, Diaspora"
How do people narrate movement, imagine home and negotiate belonging? This international conference brings literary inquiry into conversation with interdisciplinary perspectives on borders, migration and diaspora. Inviting academic researchers, artists and creators, independent researchers, policy makers, industry professionals and activists. Human movement across localities, regions, nations and oceans has long shaped societies and their stories. From the Great Depression and the Partition of India to the movement of workers during the COVID-19 pandemic, migration has generated literary, cinematic and media representations that illuminate relationships among individuals, communities and nation-states.
