Post Identity, an international, fully-refereed journal of the humanities,
publishes scholarship that examines the narratives underlying individual,
social, and cultural identity formations; that investigates the relationship
between identity formations and texts; and that argues how such formations can
be challenged.

In print since 1997, Post Identity has partnered with the University of
Michigan's Scholarly Publishing Office to transform itself into an audio-,
graphic-, and video-enhanced web-based journal that can make available the new
forms and subjects of contemporary critiques of identity, as well as more
traditional text-based scholarship.

Culture, Language and Representation seeks contributions for volume 2 on
the topic:
"Cultural representations of violence".

Culture, Language and Representation is a yearly scholarly publication on
the discipline of Cultural Studies. Each issue deals monographically with a
relevant aspect of the representation of culture in its various
manifestations (social, political, educational, artistic, historical,

Faulkner lived and wrote at a time when models of normative and deviant
identity were increasingly racialized, even as models of racial identity
were increasingly biologized. This is one among many reasons why whiteness
in Faulkner--and the whiteness of Faulkner--deserve our critical attention.
This special double issue of The Faulkner Journal welcomes submissions that
problematize the ostensibly unremarkable phenomenon of whiteness in
