Special Issue of "Film & History: An Interdisciplinary Journal of Film and

LATIN AMERICA ON FILM

Throughout its history Latin America has witnessed a conflict of ideologies.
Concordantly, the challenges of treating Latin American history on film has
incited dialogue and debate among scholars from divergent disciplines.

Collaboration, Literature & Composition.

We are seeking abstracts for an upcoming anthology
that explores theoretical collaborations of literature
and composition. In a meeting of form and function,
abstracts (and ensuing essays) must be collaboratively
written. We are open to all subjects; periods;
genres; critical, rhetorical, or pedagogical
perspectives; (etc.) as long as they join literature
and composition in discussion.

Modern Language Studies, the journal of the Northeast Modern Language
Association, has transferred operations to Susquehanna University where the
Departments of English, Modern Languages, and Art will collaborate on its
editing and redesign. Articles and reviews in MLS have always reflected the
eclectic interests and the strong research profiles of NEMLA members, and
one of our primary goals in redesigning the journal is to expand the format
so that it provides a broad range of publishing opportunities. We are
therefore adding, and seeking submissions for two new sections to the
journal:

Modern Language Studies, the journal of the Northeast Modern Language

Philament, an online peer-reviewed journal of postgraduate scholarship in
the fields of cultural studies and the literary arts, now invites
contributors for its first edition.

Philament is dedicated to advancing what is a varied and vital postgraduate
culture to a public front. As such, this inaugural issue is intended to be a
reflection of the interests within postgraduate communities at the beginning
of the Millennium.
