  3-4 pages in print, an attribute of the journal that will provide a

  cutting-edge scholarly debate and exchange in the humanities.

Tolkien Down Under - The Art and Science of Magic in Middle-earth

Call for Papers

This significant annual event in the Tolkien calendar is being held overseas
for the first time in Sydney, Australia. With attendees travelling from
around the world this will have an international festive feel.

The magic of Middle-earth is wide-ranging in scope and can cover not only
all aspects of magic in the works of Tolkien but also the enchantment that
Tolkien's writings have instilled in Tolkien fans far and wide.

Call for Papers: The culture of adoption.
What do we mean by the culture of adoption. Adoptees
and their families--both of them-- form a unique
grouping, even if the adoption is closed and secret.
The reasons for adopting, the ways the adoptive family
creates family stories of origin, the accomadations
the family and child make for the differences (subtle
or marked) between them.

UPDATE: Fact & Fiction: An Anthology of Critical Articles on Australian Literary Studies (25/02/2007, Anthology)

Contributions are invited for an anthology of critical articles on Australian Literature aimed at B.A./M.A./M.Phil students and research scholars in India working in the field of Australian literature. The articles should be of 3000-5000 words and should engage with any one of the areas given below. The articles can be interdisciplinary in nature addressing these themes but keeping in mind that it is a literary anthology.
