Imperfect Copies: Hybridity/Mimicry
As postcolonial theorist Homi Bhabha posits his idea of hybridity and
mimicry in The Location of Culture, inexact, or displaced doubling may create
parodies of social hegemonies that carry the potential to disrupt the naturalized
norms. How does the idea/practice of creating an imperfect copy function in
literature?
