Various transformations in the social and cultural landscape have been
reshaping the way Polish cinema is understood, yet still there is little
clarity about its position within the area of politics and ideology. The

Revisiting Robert Bage's Fiction
    
    
  The editor (Dr Sandro Jung) of the projected collection on Robert Bage invites full-length chapters (6000-8000 words) on any aspect of Bage's fiction. While Bage's Hermsprong has received occasional scholarly interest, it has, on the whole, remained Bage's only novel that is read nowadays. In that respect, chapters on Bage's other novels would be especially welcome. It is hoped that the novels will be contextualised against the background of the Romantic discourses of identity as well as the political (anti-)Jacobin debates.

Dear Colleagues:

There is another chapter available for Reading in America Today: The
Greenwood Encyclopedia of Contemporary Popular American Literature. This
four-volume encyclopedia will include alphabetically arranged chapters on
more than 100 literary genres.

The chapter is on "Mystery Novels," and it will be approximately 12,500
words. Contributors will be paid for their efforts. The chapters will not
be due until February 1st, 2007.

Documentary filmmaker Errol Morris is known for winning the 2005 Academy
Award for Best Documentary for The Fog of War; for his 1998 film The Thin
Blue Line, which both resulted in the release of death-row inmate Randall
Adams and introduced the now-familiar dramatic reenactment; and for his
device known as the Interrotron, which allows direct eye contact
(ostensibly) between the subject and the spectator. He is a leading
