The _Journal of Narrative Theory_ (JNT) is still seeking submissions for an

The Ambrose Bierce Project (ABP) is a forthcoming hypermedia project hosted by Penn State University. As part of its initial phase, the ABP is seeking essays and literary briefs about the Civil War fiction and nonfiction war writings of Ambrose Bierce. Submissions will be peer-reviewed by ABP affiliates and by members of the advisory board, a collection of leading Bierce scholars.
Literary briefs will offer a critical perspective on a *single* Bierce story or work of nonfiction prose. Briefs should not exceed 2,000 words, but should include scholarly notes. Deadline: 5/1/05.

DEADLINE EXTENDED:
Due to unforeseen delays and too many meetings, we are extending the
deadline for the Rock and Roll and American fiction collection. We will
begin reviewing manuscripts March 21, 2005 and we will accept submissions
until March 23, 2005.

Mester, the yearly graduate student academic journal of the Department of
Spanish and Portuguese at UCLA, seeks articles for its upcoming general
issue to be published in June 2005.
Our upcoming volume will be a general one open to any topic related to the
scope of the journal. Mester publishes critical articles, interviews, and
book reviews in the fields of Spanish, Portuguese, Spanish-American,
Brazilian and Chicano literatures and linguistics. Mester also welcomes
articles in Comparative Literature, Critical Theory and Cultural Studies.
Articles may be written in Spanish, Portuguese, or English.

qui parle, the University of California at Berkeley's journal of critical theory and
interdisciplinary studies, currently seeks submissions for its late 2005 issue. Twice a year qui
parle publishes provocative articles covering a range of new outstanding theoretical and critical
work in the humanities. Founded in 1986 by an editorial board from the University of California at
Berkeley, qui parle is dedicated to expanding the dialogues that take place between the
disciplines, and that challenge received notions about reading and scholarship in the university.
