Call for papers and panels:

"Conversations Between the Sheets" is concerned with the direct and/or indirect discourse between texts that takes place when authors (whoever an author may be—from a single writer or coauthors to a community of editors, publishers, booksellers, etc.) interact with each other—alluding, referencing, paraphrasing, quoting, borrowing, sharing, stealing, extending, challenging, or opposing each others' ideas. Whether it is in the form of support, abuse, or simply recognition of ideas between writers, texts converse with each other.

U.S. Studies Online is now considering international submissions.

U.S. Studies Online is the official postgraduate journal of the British
Association for American Studies. Originally founded to enable postgraduate
students at British universities to have their work published in a refereed
environment of the highest quality, the journal has now decided to open the
submissions process to postgraduate students from outside Britain, as well.

U.S. Studies Online is now considering international submissions.

The fifteenth annual conference of the Society for the History of
Authorship, Reading, and Publishing (SHARP) will be held in Minneapolis at

Though open to world drama from any period, provided written/translated in English, submissions are invited on the Anglo-American drama and the Modern European Drama.

Submission Guidelines:

Preferred length of essays is 8-15 pages (double spaced, Times New Roman, Font 12) typed in MS-Word format. Follow MLA style, with endnotes and work cited at the end of the paper.

The papers will be peer reviewed by the experts.

Send one hard copy and a CD of your complete submission.

Provide a bibliographical headnote to be included in the list of contributors.

Heidegger and Joyce: Call for Contributors to an upcoming Anthology

We are seeking to round out a collection with a few essays connecting the
thinking of Heidegger to the works of James Joyce. The underlying goal of
this collection will be to open up avenues for thinking of Joyce as an
equally valid instantiation of the "poetizing-thinking" tradition which
Heidegger located in Holderlin among others.
