CFP: The Frankfurt School (01/15/07; collection)
I welcome abstracts for essays to be included in a proposed volume on
any area of study pertaining directly or indirectly to the Frankfurt
School, for the publication of which I am in talks with Cambridge
Scholars Press.
Abstracts should be approximately two pages long, while full articles
will probably run 15-25 pages in the volume itself.

The Literature and Science Area of the American Culture Association
invites submissions for the 2007 PCA/ACA National Conference, to be held
in beautiful Boston, Massachusetts from April 4-7, 2007.
Interpretive papers focusing on the representation or integration of
science in specific literary texts are especially encouraged. However,
proposals dealing with any aspect of the interdisciplinary field of

The deadline for submissions for the Edith Wharton Essay Prize has been
extended to 30 October 2006.
The Edith Wharton Essay Prize is awarded annually for the best unpublished
essay on Edith Wharton by a beginning scholar. Graduate students,
independent scholars, and faculty members who have not held a tenure-track
or full-time appointment for more than four years are eligible to submit
their work.
The winning essay will be published in _The Edith Wharton Review_, a
peer-reviewed journal, and the writer will receive an award of $250.
