        The Richard Wright Circle plans to organize two sessions at the
American Literature Association's annual meeting in San Francisco, CA,
May 25-28, 2006. It invites proposals for 20-minute papers for either
session:

Session I: New Directions in Wright Scholarship. We welcome papers
involving significant new research or critical approaches to Wright and
his work.

Session II: Richard Wright: International Perspectives. We welcome
papers ranging from Wright's responses to global events to the
reception of Wright's work in various international settings.

which history and memory have been (re)presented and reconstructed in cinema –
