The Midwest Conference on British Studies is proud to announce that its
fifty-third annual meeting will be hosted by Wright State University at
the Doubletree Suites Hotel in Dayton, Ohio.
In conjunction with the Embarras Valley Film Festival, the James Jones Conference on Friday, September 21, welcomes papers that explore the following:
* any aspect of Jones's fiction and career
* the films adapted from his works
* World War II film studies
* fiction by and about returning veterans, especially works by Midwestern authors
* the Midwestern home front
* popular American culture of the 1940s and 1950s, etc.
