I would like to invite submissions to a collection of new essays on the
seventeenth-century writer, Thomas Traherne. 2003 will mark the 100 year
anniversary of Dobell's first edition of Traherne's poetry, so the timing is
right for such a collection. The general theme is "new approaches to
Traherne," and that can be interpreted broadly. All scholarly ranks are
encouraged to submit. Major university presses have already expressed
initial interest in the project. Begin by sending a detailed
prospectus/abstract and a brief C.V. to:

McNeese State University
Lake Charles LA 70609-2655

Questions can be emailed to blevinsjake_at_aol.com.

Contributors are needed for the RSVP Bibliography, which is published
biennially in Victorian Periodicals Review (VPR). Contributors monitor
assigned journals for articles dealing with periodicals published between
1800-1914 and submit annotated index entries for inclusion in the next
Bibliography. Contributors are acknowledged in VPR.

We currently have a large number of unassigned journals, and we thus need
many new contributors, especially ones with access to Canadian and Scottish
periodicals.
