CALL FOR PAPERS
CONFERENCE ON THE HARLEM RENAISSANCE PAINE COLLEGE
AUGUSTA, GANOVEMBER 2-4, 2016 The Department of Humanities at Paine College is requesting proposals for the 20th Annual Conference on the Harlem Renaissance to be held on the campus of historic Paine College. The theme for 2016 is “Precursors, Periods, and Postscripts: Critical Thought, Beliefs, Productions, and Activism before, during, and after the Harlem Renaissance.” The focus for presentations will center on the literature, history, philosophy, art, and music, as well as inter- and cross-disciplinary approaches from the social and political sciences, economics, and STEM.
