CFP: Conference Experiences (grad) (journal)
CALL FOR PAPERS
----------------
Henry Street:
A Graduate Journal of Literary Study
_Henry Street_ is requesting contributions addressing graduate student
experiences with large international conferences such as the MLA Annual
Convention. We are interested in critical responses as well as personal
perspectives on the roles and the experiences of graduate students at
these large-scale professional events.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
_Henry Street: A Graduate Journal of Literary Study_ is an international
journal for graduate students of English and related disciplines, now
entering its eighth year of publication. _Henry Street_ invites original
contributions to current scholarship on literatures in English from any
historical period or critical perspective, as well as essays on material
culture, pedagogy, and critical theory. Although we welcome submissions
at any time, the deadline for our next general issue is June 1, 1999,
and the deadline for our next special issue (on the topic of "Revivals,
Revisions, Recoveries") is Sept. 1, 1999. We also welcome contributions
for "Negotiations," a section of the journal wherein a graduate student
essay addressing the work of a senior scholar is presented alongside
that scholar's response.
_Henry Street_ is indexed by the MLA and the Canadian Periodicals Index.
SUBMISSIONS
Essays should not exceed 7000 words, and must follow MLA guidelines for
citation and presentation. All submissions, except poetry, should be
