CFP: Modernism (no deadline; journal)
The new issue of the _International Review of Modernism_ (Fall/Winter, 1998,
vol. 2, issue 1) has recently been published. We are now assigning reviews for
the next two issues (2.2 and 3.1, 1999) and we would like to hear from
interested and qualified reviewers. If you have sent us vitas or summaries of
your interests, you do not need to do so again, but let us know what you are
currently interested in reviewing. The books must be new or forthcoming. They
must also fall within our scope: European culture from 1890-1939.
The current issue is larger than the first two issues with three review-essays
and a brief interview, as well as the usual book reviews (the table of contents
for all of the issues may be found posted at our web-site). While most of the
books we review in this issue are either literary criticism or art history, we
are pleased that we have some works reviewed in the areas of history,
philosophy, cultural studies, and theater history. We would welcome reviewers
in film history, music history, and interdisciplinary studies. Although the
language of the journal is English, we welcome reviewers who can review
appropriate books published in other languages.
In addition to the contents, we have the guidelines for contributors as well as
subscription information posted at the web-site. Please note that we have both
a new web address and a new street address.
