The _Southeast Humanities Review_, a new, peer reviewed journal of cultural
studies, theory and criticism, seeks articles (up to approx. 5,000 words,
though longer pieces may be considered), relevant to any field of the
humanities or social sciences, including literature, art/architecture,
music/sound, linguistics/language theory, education, mass communications,
philosophy, psychology, sociology, anthropology, criminology/criminal
justice, CLS (Critical Legal Studies), urban studies, (etc.?). Articles
should be written with a general, academic readership in mind;
interdisciplinary approaches and experimental formats are encouraged.
Conventional articles should follow the documentation style appropriate to
the discipline. All articles should demonstrate theoretical
fluency--familiarity with current trends as relevant to the discipline(s).
Works with a multicultural orientation and/or relevant to the Southeast
U.S. are especially encouraged. April 15 deadline for fall, 2000 issue.
