_NWSA Journal_: Call for Host Institution

The Editorial Board of the _NWSA Journal_ and the National Women’s
Studies Association are seeking a new editorial team and a new home for
the Journal for a (minimum) five-year commitment to begin Fall semester
2003. The _NWSA Journal_, housed at Appalachian State University since
1997 and edited by Margaret McFadden, publishes interdisciplinary
scholarship that links feminist research and theory in all fields.

The Journal was founded in 1988 and is published three times annually by
Indiana University Press. Former host institutions include The Ohio
State University and the University of New Hampshire. _NWSA Journal_ is
independently incorporated, with the Editorial Board serving as the
Board of Directors. The Journal is jointly funded by the Press and the
host institution.

The new editor should be a tenured member of the faculty or an
administrator of a women’s studies program or research center, have
interdisciplinary expertise in feminist studies, and be a member of the
NWSA, committed to its goals. A successful proposal must demonstrate
both administrative support and substantial faculty commitment to
publishing the _Journal_.

Inquiries and expressions of interest can be addressed to any of the
following members of the site search committee:

Barbara Corrado Pope (chair), University of Oregon
Marlene Longenecker, Ohio State University
Jean O’Barr, Duke University
Bonnie Zimmerman, San Diego State University
