CALL FOR ARTICLES

'Augustan Studies, 1700-1800', a new annual refereed journal is seeking
articles and notes for 1st first volume to be published late in 2002. The
editors are seeking contributions that deal with the literature of the 1740s.
Contributions on all genres are welcome in as far as they relate to this
decade. The editors take particular interest in the lyric poets of the period
(Collins, Akenside, the Wartons, etc.). Original findings could be
concentrated in a note. The journal attempts to publish as many notes as
possible since these might provide the basis for further critical reflection.

'Augustan Studies' aims at assembling a whole variety of approaches old and
new to elucidate the aesthetics of a piece of art. Submission is by email
only; contributors will receive 25 offprints of their articles, 20 of their
notes. Articles as well as notes should adhere to the MLA style of citation.

DEADLINE for submission of articles and notes: 1 September 2001

Notes and Articles should be sent to the Managing Editor, Sandro Jung.

Questions relating to the journal should be addressed to the Managing Editor,
too. Vol. II of 'Augustan Studies' will be dedicated to the exploration of
the literature of the 1720s.
