Announcing a new series from Ashgate-

The Early Modern Englishwoman, 1500-1750: Contemporary Editions

Series Editors: Betty S. Travitsky and Patrick Cullen

Designed to complement The Early Modern Englishwoman: A Facsimile
Library of Essential Works, this series presents both modernized and
old-spelling editions of texts not only by women but also for and about
women. The contents of a volume can range from a single text to an
anthology, and editorial methodology is also flexible, the choice
depending on the subject and audience.

Proposals should take the form of either

1) a preliminary letter of inquiry, briefly describing the project; or
2) a formal prospectus including: a c.v., prospectus (including a
description of the text or texts to be edited, a justification of the
need for an edition, a description of editorial methodology, an overview
of the introduction, and an estimate of the length of the book, number
of illustrations, and date of completion), and a sample of edited text
with a photocopy of the original text.

Please send three copies of either type of proposal (one to each of the
series editors and one to the publisher) to the addresses below:
