CFP: Style: Resources Issue, Pedagogy Issue, Other Calls (3/15/03; journal issue)
The editors of the journal Style would like to announce a call for
papers for a its regular yearly issue on resources in stylistics and
literary analysis.
Contributions may include such materials as reviews of texts that
present state-of-the-art theoretical approaches to literature; essays
that reassess, or revisit, classic texts in analysis; reviews of
statistical or text-processing software; reviews of texts on analytic
technique (e.g., corpus studies, statistics, prosody); translations of
important non-English essays; interviews with leading theorists,
critics, and authors; reviews of textbooks; programmatic statements from
innovative graduate and undergraduate programs in English studies;
reviews of important and useful web sites; reviews of important and
useful conferences; annotated bibliographies or bibliographic essays
focused on areas in stylistics.
If you know of any colleagues or students who would be likely
contributors to this issue as well, the editors would appreciate your
passing this information on to them.
Major articles should be no longer than 9,000 words (count includes
notes and works cited); shorter works are welcome as well. Submissions
for the next resources issue, scheduled as volume 37, number 4, are due
15 March 2003. Please submit three paper copies (surface mail) and one
identical electronic copy in Word or Wordperfect (via email or disk),
accompanied by a 100-word abstract and following the Modern Language
Association's conventions for documentation.

refereed journal publishing studies in stylistics, literary theory, and
literary criticism.
