        Call for Critical or Theoretical Comparative Essays on the Fiction
        and Nonfiction of James Baldwin and Toni Morrison
        
        for a Special Issue of
        
        COLLEGE LITERATURE
        
        We seek essays that address the following:
        
        RACE AND SOCIAL JUSTICE
        IDENTITY (racial, sexual, or otherwise)
        LOVE and/or DESIRE
        RELIGION
        MUSIC
        
        Submit finished 8,000-10,000 word essays, following The Chicago
        Manual of Style, 14th Ed., no later than September 1, 2003 to one
