CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS
SPRING 2004 ISSUE
TRANSFORMATIONS:
THE JOURNAL OF INCLUSIVE SCHOLARSHIP AND PEDAGOGY
Transformations explores and promotes inclusive pedagogy and curriculum
transformation. Representing a variety of cross-disciplinary interests,
both theoretical and practical, the journal is designed to create a dynamic
exchange among diverse scholars. A variety of approaches, everything from
theoretical essays to short descriptions of pedagogical innovations, will
assist teachers and scholars at all levels who are committed to integrating
recent scholarship on gender, race, ethnicity, class, sexuality, and other
identity positions. Original submissions are sought as follows:
Articles: Scholarly articles can address curriculum transformation through
a variety of approaches: applied, theoretical, empirical, personal
narrative, review, philosophical, and historical. (3,000-8,000 words).
Review Essays: Review essays should examine resources for teaching a
specific subject. The author should describe the various resources (books,
film, video, performance, art, music) and offer a rationale for the
usefulness and application of the resources. The review may focus on one
medium (e.g., movies) or several (e.g., movies, websites, novels, and
paintings).
