CFP: Environmental Literature (08/31/03, journal issue)

This message is being cross-posted; please excuse duplication.

Deadline: August 31, 2003

The Winter 2003 issue of Academic Exchange Quarterly will be devoted to
teaching environmental literature. This issue is devoted to discussions
of pedagogical strategies for teaching environmental literature and/or
discussions of the environment as a tool for teaching any period or
genre of literature. Articles that take an environmental approach to
particular texts are also welcome.

Contributions are welcome from many perspectives, including those
dealing with feminist perspectives, interdisciplinary approaches, and
approaches for teaching environmental literature in a particular time
period or genre. Manuscripts are sought from those whose experiences,
methods, and assessments in either a high school or college classroom
have produced meaningful ways to teach environmental literature or who
have environmental approaches to different texts. Non-traditional
teaching arenas are also of interest.
