CFP: Literary/Cultural Studies (undergrad) (11/14/03; journal)
Call for Papers--Hotel: Critical Review/Revue Critique
Twice in as many years, a group of undergraduates at McGill University has
produced a journal as daring in its design as it is thorough in its
argumentation. This journal, named Hotel, publishes thoughtful, insightful
writing by undergraduates within and around the fields of literary and
cultural criticism. This broad range of consideration allows Hotel to
publish essays from many disciplines and critical approaches; pieces in our
last two issues have covered subjects from Paradise Lost to Like Water for
Chocolate and from Mel Brooks to Jean Baudrillard. Reflecting the character
of its home city, Hotel publishes works in English and French. Hotel
distributes its issues at no charge, in hopes of encouraging the largest
possible readership.
Writing should conform to MLA guidelines, and should be submitted by e-mail
to hotel_at_mail.mcgill.ca by the deadline of 11/14/03.
