The GLSG is a recognized special-interest group of the AMS
(American Musicological Society). Our objectives include
promoting communication among lesbian and gay music
scholars, increasing awareness of issues in sexuality and
music in the academic community, and establishing a forum
for the presentation of lesbian and gay music studies. We
also intend to provide an environment in which to examine
the process of coming out in academia, and to contribute
to a positive political climate for gay and lesbian
affirmative action and curricula. For more information,
see our website <http://glsg-ams.press.uiuc.edu>.
