The online journal ImageTexT: Interdisciplinary Comics Studies is
soliciting articles and book reviews for the forthcoming fall
issue. ImageTexT is an academic journal for the study of comics,
including: comic books, comic strips, graphic novels, children's
picture books, works that combine image and text, and animated
cartoons.

Professional Studies Review is a refereed journal published by St. John's
University in New York, devoted to the pedagogical needs and research
interests of those working within the career-oriented disciplines. The
Review is currently accepting papers for its second issue scheduled for
publication in the fall of 2004.

The featured topic for this second issue is Distance Learning/Online
Teaching. Approaches to this theme might include (but are not limited to)
such topics or issues as:

for its inaugural issue. Articles for the inaugural issue should
preferably address the following:

-- the idea of interdisciplinarity
-- the history and development of pedagogic interdisciplinarity
-- the possibilities/ shortfalls of interdisciplinarity as a
        humanities and social sciences methodological tool.
-- state-of-the art interdisciplinary studies
-- Disciplining Interdisciplinarity

Reviews of relevant and recent books on interdisciplinary studies
are also welcome. The journal will publish special issues from time to
time.

Deadline for submission: October 31, 2004

I am looking for proposals and abstracts (not full papers at this stage) for
consideration for an edited volume on Shakespeare's All's Well that Ends
Well. A session at the 2006 SAA meeting in Philadelphia will also be
proposed. Proposals and Abstracts can be fairly informal but preferable
should be about 500 words and should be sent by June 30, 2004. Deadline for
accepted proposals will be Summer 2005.
