UPDATE: PRIZE for Journal Article on Topic of your Choice

IN recognition of the 10th Issue, Postgraduate English will be offering a small
prize for the paper deemed 'most deserving' by a committee of the Editorial
Board. This applies to the general papers of 7000 words (see below), and not
to the 500 word pieces for the forum.

POSTGRADUATE ENGLISH:
A Journal and Forum for Postgraduates in English in the UK and Europe

Invites postgraduates studying in the UK and Europe to submit papers of not
more than 7000 words on a topic of YOUR CHOICE in the broad range of English
Studies for issue 10 (September 2004) of our refereed online journal. Papers
must conform to the MLA guidelines for presentation and be received no later
than

June 30, 2004.

PLUS we invite you to send us 500 word papers on issues of a market economy in
higher education. You might question the future of education standards for
countries that choose to charge hefty tuition fees to students, and research
standards for those who do not; or you might question the ways in which you
believe a market economy might affect supervision of the PhD. Papers on all
topics surrounding this issue are welcome.

FORUM, which deals with many of the issues facing postgraduates such as jobs,
research, conferences, publishing and teaching tutorials, all on our website
