NMEDIAC, The Journal of New Media & Culture, is soliciting traditional
research and or theory-based articles for the upcoming Winter 2004 issue.
The deadline for submissions is October 31, 2004.

NMEDIAC is a scholarly peer-reviewed online publication. It is an
intellectual canvas where the cultural spaces and experiences of new media
are theorized and rigorously explored within global and local
contingencies of the present and past. In particular, we encourage
submission of cross-disciplinary research of new media texts, users, and
technologies. Works that incorporate either or both humanities and social
science approaches to scholarship are welcome.

Papers should be submitted by email in one of three formats (.doc, .pdf,
.html) to Jonathan Lillie, Managing Editor, at:

editor_at_nmediac.net

Paper length may vary from 5,000 to 12,000 words. Projects much longer
than 12,000 words should be broken into two companion articles to be
published in consecutive issues. All submission should follow the latest
APA style and citation guidelines. Submissions should incorporate
hyperlinks to online resources, images, and embedded audiovisuals where
appropriate.

Audiovisual new media art or presentations may be submitted as well.
Preference is placed on pieces that are submitted along with, or
incorporate, scholarly work OR that emphasize general or specific themes
within the broad area of scholarly research we refer to as new media and
culture.

Students, faculty, and artists interested in participating
in the administration, editing, and creative endeavors of the journal,
please email the editor.
