Call for Papers
for the first edition of
Jung: The e-Journal of the Jungian Society for Scholarly Studies

To be published on-line April 10, 2005
                         
Papers of up to 7500 words on any topic that implements, utilizes, or
critiques the relevance and application of Jungian and post-Jungian theory
for scholarly study. Topics may include (but need not be constrained to)
literature, the arts, humanities such as drama, visual art, myth and fairy
tale, pop culture, education, religion, film, music, architecture,
psychology, science, masculinity, and Jungian theory itself.

All perspectives are welcomed, including (but not only) modern,
post-modern, post-colonial, and feminist perspectives.
                         
The editors also invite book reviews, up to 1000 words.
Books to be reviewed should be of relevance to a community of scholars
interested in the application of Jungian and post-Jungian thought in the
academy.
                         
All submissions will be subjected to a blind peer review process, in which
they will first be submitted to the Editors who will forward them to at
least two reviewers. Each reviewer will complete an independent report
on the submission and return it to the editors, who will inform the author
of the result (Accepted for publication, Accepted with revisions, Not
accepted at this time). The comments of the reviewers will be made
available to the author.

Manuscripts should be submitted in accordance with MLA, 6th edition,
documentation style. (In-text citations, List of Works Cited, no
footnotes, no endnotes)
                   
Include an abstract of up to 150 words.
                   
Include brief biographical information.
                   
Nowhere in the content of the paper should the author's identity be noted.
Include cover letter with biographical information in either the body of
the email (with submission as attachment), or as a second attachment.

Submissions will only be accepted electronically. Send the document as an
attachment (MS Word or Adobe Acrobat only) to ddobson_at_oise.utoronto.ca.
Responses take 1-2 months.

On the site, you will also find Selected Papers from the 2003 and 2004
conference. Watch for info regarding the 2005 conference in Providence,
Rhode Island, August 2005.
