Our last convention in Cambridge, MA in April offered over 100 panels on various topics, involving around 500 participants, from the U.S., Canada, and many other nations. It featured Harvard professor Leah Price as keynote speaker, a reading by former poet laureate Robert Pinsky, and a panel on American Protest literature with Paul Lauter of Trinity College, and Harvard Professors John Stauffer and Tim McCarthy (also at University of North Carolina), and Boston University's Howard Zinn, coordinated by Harvard Graduate Student Body President Zoe Trodd. In addition, creative writers like Milena Moser and Spanish Dramatists Immaculada Alvear and Raúl Hernández Garrido gave readings. We invite qualifi!
ed participants to help make the 2006 convention in Philadelphia, sponsored by Temple University, equally exciting.
