Abstracts for papers are now being accepted for the Kent State
University Ashtabula 2006 Fairy Tale Conference, "The Art of The
Fairy Tale from Grimm to Shrek: And All the Ogres in Between," to
be held April 28 and 29, 2006 on the campus of Kent State
University Ashtabula.

Keynote speaker at the conference will be Dr. Valerie Paradiz,
author of Clever Maids: The Secret History of the Grimm Fairy Tales

Interested participants must submit electronically a 200 word
abstract.

The electronic submission of the abstract must be pasted into the
body of the email (attachments will not be opened). Abstracts must
be submitted to bice_at_ashtabula.kent.edu . Please include your
name, email address, university affiliation and university phone
number.

Presentation of papers must be no longer than 20 minutes in length.
All proposals will be evaluated on the degree to which they address
the themes of the conference.

Deadline for submission of abstracts is October 20, 2005.
Notification of acceptance will be made no later than January 20,
2006.
