Cauda Pavonis: Studies in Hermeticism seeks scholarly articles for
upcoming print and online issues. Now in its twenty-third year of
publication, the journal publishes articles on all aspects of
hermeticism as well as book reviews and field-relevant
announcements. Cauda Pavonis also issues an Annual Bibliography of
Hermetic Studies each Spring and annually sponsors a panel at the
Renaissance Society of America Conference.

On an ongoing basis, Cauda Pavonis seeks articles addressing any
aspect of hermeticism, including scholarship treating its traditional
manifestations in alchemy, arithmetics, astrology, music, and sacred
geometry. The journal promotes and is especially receptive to
interdisciplinary work involving fields such as art history, history
of ideas and history of science, literature, music, philosophy,
religious studies, and others.

In addition, Cauda Pavonis welcomes books for review and news items,
including calls for papers, conference announcements, and notices of
interest involving such things as Web sites, publications, and
academic programs.

Cauda Pavonis is also issuing a special call for papers for the
journal's online debut. Especially welcome for this first Internet
issue are articles which take advantage of hypertext, graphics and
images, and multimedia possibilities afforded by the online medium of
publication.

To help facilitate the burgeoning academic interest in the field of
hermetic studies, Cauda Pavonis seeks queries regarding, and
invitations for, collaborative ventures with other journals and
conferences. General inquiries and abstract and paper submissions
using Microsoft Word attachments may be sent to the Editor at
katefrost_at_mail.utexas.edu.

Hard copy submissions should be sent to
