NATIONAL POPULAR CULTURE & AMERICAN CULTURE ASSOCIATIONS
2006 JOINT CONFERENCE
April 12-15, 2006
Atlanta Marriott Marquis
We are considering proposals for sessions organized around a theme, special panels, and/or individual papers. Sessions are scheduled in 1½ hour slots, typically with four papers or speakers per standard session.
TOPICS MAY INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
-Ethnic and folk cultures
-Culinary traditions
-Depictions of the Midwest in popular culture
-History of the Midwest
-Midwestern art and artists
-Midwestern literature and writers
-Political culture
-Religious traditions
-Travel narratives
Should you or any of your colleagues be interested in submitting a proposal or have any questions, please contact the area chair (see below).
